About Dianne Parks
Dianne Parks was born and raised in New Orleans and received her art education at McCrady School of Fine Art in the French Quarter. She has been painting her hometown for over 30 years and her work is in collections throughout the United States and abroad.
In her paintings, Dianne paints our way of life, capturing the light, rhythm and romance that are the essence of New Orleans and southern Louisiana.
Dianne makes her home on the North Shore in Mandeville and is a member of the Arts Council of New Orleans, New Orleans Art Association, Art for Madisonville and St. Tammany Art Association.
"New Orleans is my home and my love! To paint New Orleans is to become embroiled in the warm, sultry air, sweet with magnolias and spices. Music floats from every street corner and life is to be lived! I strive to capture the vibrancy and color that is unique to our area. When you look at my paintings, I would like for you to feel the scene and to hear the music!"
"In other places, culture comes from down on high. In New Orleans, it bubbles up from the streets." Ellis Marsalis, New Orleans Jazz Musician
