Jazz and Bourbon Street just naturally go together. It's thrilling to walk down that world-famous French Quarter street and hear the profusion of music spilling out of those century-old doors. It's transformative. I wanted to portray that feeling, with the bright colors of the night and the lively, and sometimes soulful, sounds of jazz in this oil painting on canvas.
